Job Description
The Finance Director for Rank International/YoBrands is a senior leadership role with overall accountability for financial stewardship, performance management, governance, and insight across the Rank International/YoBrands businesses, which comprises the Enracha Bingo and the YoBrands online gaming brands.
The role exists to provide strong, independent financial leadership to Rank International/YoBrands, acting as a trusted adviser to local management while ensuring compliance with local regulations and Group policies.
A core element of the role is to build and maintain a strong, trusted and highly effective working relationship with Group Finance and Head Office functions, ensuring clear alignment to Group policies, controls, reporting expectations and finance transformation priorities. The role acts as a key connection between Rank International/YoBrands and Rank Group, balancing strong local partnership with consistent Group standards and transparency.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Finance Director will play a key role in:
Strengthening financial discipline, controls and governance
Improving the quality of insight and decision support
Supporting sustainable performance and strategic delivery
Driving positive change across finance and the wider business
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Governance
Provide clear leadership and direction to the Rank International finance team (c. 8 FTE), setting high standards of performance, integrity, accountability and professionalism
Own and maintain strong financial controls, policies and governance frameworks in line with Group requirements
Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory and Group reporting obligations
Promote a culture of transparency, appropriate challenge, and proactive issue resolution.
Strategic & Commercial Partnership
Act as a senior finance business partner to the Rank International Managing Director and Executive Team
Provide objective, evidence‑based challenge to commercial proposals and strategic initiatives
Support the evaluation of growth initiatives, investments, product developments and operational change
Balance effective local business partnership with strong alignment to Group priorities, standards and risk appetite, operating confidently across both local and Group contexts
Performance Management & Insight
Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes, ensuring plans are robust and aligned with Group objectives
Deliver high‑quality financial analysis and insight to support timely and effective decision‑making
Oversee weekly and monthly performance reporting, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
Develop and maintain meaningful KPI frameworks focused on value creation
Reporting & Group Interface
Take full responsibility for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of monthly close and reporting to Group
Build strong, collaborative and credible relationships with Group Finance, acting as a trusted counterpart and ensuring open, proactive communication
Act as the primary finance interface between the Rank International business and Group Finance, ensuring alignment on controls, accounting policy, performance reporting and key judgements
Ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies, control standards and governance expectations, escalating issues early and constructively
Contribute actively to Group‑wide finance initiatives, transformation programmes and leadership forums, representing the international perspective while supporting Group objectives
Change & Improvement
Lead and sponsor finance transformation and improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, systems enhancement and capability development
Champion and embed strong financial discipline.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, insight quality and control effectiveness
Qualifications & Knowledge
Strong understanding of financial planning, control and performance management
Fluent in Spanish and English (business‑level)
Professional accounting qualification required
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
MBA or post‑graduate qualification desirable
Required Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ senior finance experience, including leadership of finance teams
Demonstrable experience of working closely with an international Group / Head Office finance functions, including navigating dual accountability and operating effectively within a Group governance framework
Proven ability to partner senior stakeholders while maintaining independence and professional scepticism
Experience in multi‑channel, digital or consumer‑facing environments desirable
