Position Summary

The Loan Servicing Specialist will mainly be responsible for overseeing the loan accounts of borrowers which includes processing loan payments, handling customer inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with loan agreements and regulations. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact for current clients to resolve issues related to their loan with HouseMax.
  • Following up timely and consistently with past due accounts via email and phone.
  • Maintaining target cure rate for default prevention portfolio in line with industry targets. 
  • Preparing loan documentation for business purpose real estate loans.
  • Processing loan payments.
  • Manage escrow process for taxes and insurance.
  • Act as liaison between various counterparties regarding information on the portfolio and specific loans.
  • Boarding newly funded loans to our Servicing platform.
  • Complete post booking audit on loans booked the previous day.
  • Track insurance and review for correct lienholder information and coverage amount.
  • Monitor for force placing insurance.
  • Prepare payoff requests and loan extensions.
  • Process paid loans, prepare and file collateral releases.
  • Provide quality daily updates on the status of loans throughout its life.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills as well as being a thoughtful, yet efficient, problem-solver. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ year of loan servicing experience preferred.
  • Construction/loan knowledge is a benefit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented, possess good communication and customer service skills, and most importantly, be able to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, and occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Work Environment

  • The majority of the tasks associated with this position will be performed indoors, however, some duties will require the ability to function outdoors with exposure to seasonal weather conditions for short periods of time. Travel is up to 5% of the time.
