Job Description
Project Engineer with a background in Auxiliary Power or Jet Engines to join the Company Aerospace team supporting the Mechanical Systems and Engineering Applications group. company Aerospace is a leading global provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and services solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations.
This role is responsible for the following Project and Systems Engineering activities:
• Lead the A350 APU IK EIS Project Engineering activities including support of RCCA activities and field problem reports
• Drive DTC program as funded
• Effectively employ project management tools (WBS, IMS, HMR, Risk Register, etc.) to drive on-time / on-budget completion of program commitments.
• Support COMAC C919 APU IK development and qualification effort as needed.
• Drive a culture of performance, energy, doing what we say we will do.
This position reports to the APU Installation Systems Engineering Manager and may also execute day-to-day activities under the guidance of the COMAC APU Installation System Team Leader as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Participate in APU installation-related productivity improvement initiatives focused on establishing an APU installations center-of-excellence capability.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Project Engineering, Design and/or Analysis.
• Due to Export Control restrictions, must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of the US.
Additional Qualifications:
• Demonstrated program management excellence attributes in current or previous role.
• Experience in leading a cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated problem solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in APU installation system development and certification highly desired.
• Experience in working directly with OEM customer highly desired.
• Experience in working installation FAR Part 25 or EASA CS-25 certification efforts highly desired.
• Experience in working cross-functionally and with business teams highly desired.
