Job Description

Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students.

The Student Fundraising Associate will be an integral part of the Foundation team and work closely with both the Foundation Office staff and regional/campus development officers. This intern’s primary responsibilities will be to assist the Foundation and Development staff in the planning, implementation, and execution of several main operational functions, including, but not limited to, donor relations and stewardship, data maintenance and prospect research, and fundraising events, and serving as an ambassador for the Foundation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

DONOR RELATIONS AND STEWARDSHIP

  • Conduct weekly thank-you and/or follow-up phone calls to donors.
  • Using existing templates, write thank-you notes to donors.
  • Create unique and personalized gifts, communications, and/or projects for donors and top prospects.

DATA MAINTENANCE AND PROSPECT RESEARCH

  • Use the Foundation’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system database to record donor interactions, update contact information, and/or input event attendance.
  • Research and prospect alumni and donors using CRM.

 

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

Classification: Work Study

General Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing education through Ivy Tech Community College
  • Ability to work professionally in independent and team settings
  • Ability to build and steward regional and statewide relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Relevant experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Student must have completed the current FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
  • Maintain a minimum of 1 credit hour or more of enrollment in eligible courses.
  • Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.

The student cannot have any incomplete financial aid requirements.
