Title and Summary
Director, AP SME AcceptanceOverviewThe AP SME Product team is looking for a self-driven, Director – SME Acceptance to unlock opportunities and drive Mastercard acceptance across micro sellers to mid-market businesses. This role will be responsible for co-creating, building and scaling acceptance strategies and executing these playbooks across all SME segments and unlocking new B2B flows. The ideal candidate is passionate about championing SMEs, digital payment acceptance, and has a proven track record successfully executing end to end key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Democratise and enable card acceptance from both end of the spectrum i.e., from nano-seller to mid-market
• Unlock specific B2B flows/ verticals onto digital payment
• Embed and/or offer unified set of solutions, including value added services, that Mastercard offers to SMEs
• Develop and execute B2B acceptance strategies through payment service provider partners, and partners including business payment service providers
• Enable acceptance in strategic payment flows and verticals within SME
All About You
• Deep knowledge of the payment acceptance for micro sellers and SMEs, both current and emerging, across Asia Pacific region, with particular focus on South East Asia markets
• Brings a strong execution mindset, taking accountability for outcomes while effectively managing multiple priorities
• Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and adaptability to thrive in dynamic markets
• Ability to lead, collaborate and operate effectively within a cross functional, matrixed environment; fostering a culture of move faster, grow together, and create value
Qualifications
• Proven ability to design and execute regional go-to-market strategies and scale products through partnerships.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to articulate vision and strategy to diverse audiences
• Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, with a track record of translating insights into actionable plans.
