Base salary will range from $85,372 - $141,545 (Academic Level A-B) + 17% Superannuation

About This Opportunity
Our world-leading School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking a passionate Associate Lecturer or Lecturer to join its dedicated Speech Pathology teaching team. This appointment will be offered as either a Teaching-Focused or Clinical Academic role, commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and preference.
We welcome applications from qualified and experienced Speech Pathologists with interest and expertise in stuttering across the lifespan, private practice, disability and/or mental health. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a strong profile in teaching, research, service, and engagement, and expand your teaching impact through leadership in course coordination aligned with UQ values.
A teaching-focused appointment requires high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Speech Pathology programs, with course coordination emerging at Level B, supported by developing profiles in teaching impact and/or education or discipline research. The role involves contributing to curriculum, pedagogy and assessment enhancement, participating in teaching and research initiatives, and supporting student supervision where appropriate. It also requires meaningful service and collaboration within the School and University, with capability and impact increasing from Level A to Level B.
A clinical academic appointment requires high‑quality clinical teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Speech Pathology programs, supported by developing profiles in clinical teaching and relevant industry expertise. The role involves contributing to clinical teaching, course coordination and professional engagement, with Level B expectations including greater involvement in curriculum development, research outputs, and innovative clinical practice. It also requires meaningful service contributions and active engagement with the profession, with capability and impact increasing from Level A to Level B.
