Job Title: Custodian (eCommerce)
Department: Donated Goods Program (DGP)
Reports to: Manager, eCommerce Sales and Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the assigned facility and the grounds. Work is evaluated through observation and by inspection of completed assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day cleaning of the assigned facility: sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, cleaning furniture, filling dispensers, cleaning water fountains, and checking and cleaning equipment.
General building maintenance.
General floor maintenance: sweep, wet/dry mop, vacuum, wax, buff, etc.
Operates cleaning equipment.
Operates assigned equipment safely in accordance with organizational and safety policies and procedures.
Outdoor maintenance: pick up debris, clear sidewalks, etc.
Use safe work procedures and personal protective equipment as required (i.e., lifting, use of proper equipment, etc.) and report incidents and injuries immediately to a supervisor.
Report equipment, machinery, and other GWH property repairs and/or maintenance to a manager in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and present a friendly, cooperative attitude.
Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles.
Must be punctual, maintain a professional appearance, and perform expected duties.
Must perform all duties according to GWH safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping standards, and ensure all walkways are clear and free of clutter.
Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Some janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand safety instructions, standard operating procedures, and workplace communications.
Ability to work independently.
Must have reliable transportation.
Free from alcohol and drugs.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment. GWH does not offer visa sponsorship for employment purposes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
Adhere to the Cleaning Schedule (Target: 95%+ of cleaning tasks completed following the daily and/or weekly schedule)
Safety Incidents (Target: 0 incidents caused by janitorial-related issues)
Inspection Score (Target: 90%+ average score of routine safety and other inspections)
Response Time (Target: 15 minutes to respond to an urgent or unplanned janitorial request in HelpDesk)
Task Completion (Target: 95%+ of tasks completed properly upon first request)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Continuous standing/walking; frequent physical exertion.
Lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Ability to get in and out of trucks; sit for long periods.
Moderate indoor noise with outside exposure.
