Facilities Maintenance Technician – The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair activities to support the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. This role performs preventative and corrective maintenance involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, masonry, and general building repairs. The Facilities Maintenance Technician works independently to identify maintenance needs, complete repairs, and maintain company buildings, grounds, and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and a commitment to providing a safe, well-maintained working environment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry, and structural repairs.
- Repair and replace electrical fixtures, switches, plumbing components, and other building systems.
- Construct, repair, and maintain wood structures, sheds, and other facility improvements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and hours worked.
- Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and complete preventative and corrective repairs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow all company safety policies, FAA regulations, PPE requirements, and Safety Management System (SMS) procedures.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, accidents, and injuries promptly.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of general building maintenance, construction methods, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, follow verbal and written instructions, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Basic mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in general facilities maintenance or a related trade.
- Experience performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance in an industrial or aviation environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally push, pull, or lift 50 pounds or more.
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to safely operate tools and equipment.
- Corrected vision and hearing adequate to safely perform job duties.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- Hand tools and power tools.
- Carpentry and painting equipment.
- Company vehicles and other maintenance equipment as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in maintenance shops, aircraft hangars, housing areas, and outdoor environments.
- Regular exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise, moving machinery, hazardous materials, and desert wildlife.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and respirators.
- May be required to work at either the Marana or Tucson, Arizona facility based on business needs.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Duties and responsibilities may be modified, expanded, or assigned as needed to meet business requirements.
- Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
