Job Description

We are Pramac, a Generac Company, leading the evolution to more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.

Established in 1966, we have always evolved, expanding our product portfolio and becoming the global benchmark for the production of generators and warehouse material handling equipment. Our diverse business lines ensure the company is a leading player in a wide variety of global markets.

About the Role

Pramac is looking for a Supply Planning Manager to join the Headquarter Team at our main manufacturing site in Casole d'Elsa.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly analytical leader who thrives on optimizing operations and driving supply chain efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for steering the planning team and ensuring maximum product availability while strategically balancing inventory costs, production constraints, and supply chain risks.

Main Accountabilities

  • Strategic & Tactical Planning: Build short-term (up to 8 weeks) and medium-term (2–8 months) supply plans for the Power and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) product categories.
  • Supplier Management: Manage and optimize a complex, international portfolio of European and Non-European suppliers.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop the Material Planning Team (4 people), fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their professional growth.
  • End-to-End Execution: Maintain a hands-on approach in translating market demand into actionable purchase plans and issuing purchase orders. Balance seasonality, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), lead times, production capacity, and collection-related constraints to control costs.
  • Inventory Ownership: Own and deliver material targets for the Casole site, including Inventory Value, Coverage, DIOH (Days Inventory On Hand), Safety Stock sizing, and Master Data accuracy.
  • Plan Continuity & Operations: Take full ownership of the material plan and shortage mitigation, collaborating closely on a day-to-day basis with Operations Planning and Production.
  • Flow & Project Monitoring: Manage both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) flows. Monitor PECS projects in alignment with the S&OP Manager through weekly cross-functional meetings with R&D.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify supply risks (capacity bottlenecks, supplier delays, constraints), highlight systemic inefficiencies, and propose continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wasted capacity.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with SGS, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure timely plan execution and cross-functional alignment on the invoicing process.
  • Digital Transformation: Act as the key reference point for transformation projects within the supply chain planning department. Drive the implementation and optimization of IT planning systems, gather functional requirements, liaise with IT development teams/system integrators, and ensure effective user adoption of new ways of working.

Role Requirements:

1. Hard Skills & Qualifications (Technical Requirements)

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably within global industrial manufacturing companies, including at least 5 years of proven experience in team coordination and people management.
  • ERP & BI Systems: Previous experience or solid working knowledge of Oracle environments (or equivalent tier-1 ERPs) and business intelligence tools.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, with expert-level skills in Excel for data modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Management/Industrial preferred), Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a strictly related field.
  • Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages is a strong plus.

2. Core Competencies & Soft Skills (Behavioral & Methodological)

  • Supply Chain Expertise: Deep, advanced understanding of supply planning principles, inventory management theories, capacity planning, and end-to-end supply chain dynamics.
  • Advanced Analytical Mindset: Strong data-driven approach with hands-on experience in complex data analysis, KPI tracking, digital reporting, and translating dense datasets into actionable business insights.
  • Change Management & Digital Familiarity: Ability to comfortably navigate digital transformation, translate complex operational bottlenecks into clear functional IT requirements, and lead teams through software transitions.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Strong people-management skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of motivating a team and interacting effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: A structured, highly organized, and detail-oriented approach to work, with a natural inclination toward risk mitigation and process optimization

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to drive the operational and planning strategy of a leading global brand in the power equipment and energy storage sector.
  • A challenging role with significant responsibility and visibility within the organization, leading the core planning department of the Group's main headquarters.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities within a dynamic, international company at the forefront of digital transformation.
