
Business Development Officer - Indirect
Job Description
Rockland Federal Credit Union is seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer – Indirect Lending to grow our indirect auto lending program. This role is responsible for developing dealership relationships, increasing loan production, and supporting profitable, compliant lending activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with automobile dealerships.
- Prospect and onboard new dealer partners.
- Drive indirect auto loan growth and dealer production.
- Serve as the primary liaison between RFCU and dealer partners.
- Monitor dealer performance, loan quality, and portfolio trends.
- Support loan structuring and underwriting within established guidelines.
- Prepare reports on production, dealer activity, and business development efforts.
- Promote Credit Union products and services.
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of indirect auto lending, dealer relations, or financial services sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of indirect lending and dealership operations.
- Proven ability to build relationships and drive results.
- Experience with underwriting or loan structuring preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel regularly to dealership locations.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base salary range for this position is $80,000–$85,000 annually, plus eligibility to earn up to an additional $80,000 in commission under the 2026 incentive compensation plan. If you're hired at Rockland Federal Credit Union, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please note that the range provided reflects the full base pay for this role. We also offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package designed to support your overall well-being and success.
