Together with our in-house sales staff they deliver a very high level of customer service.   Job Description   Job Title: Quality Supervisor                                                                   Date:  June 2026  Reports To:  Quality Manager   Summary     American Fan is looking for a Quality Inspector Supervisor to lead our inspection team and ensure products consistently meet quality standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate has strong quality and mechanical background, experience in inspection and quality systems, and proven leadership skills. They should be detail‑oriented, a clear communicator, and comfortable driving continuous improvement while managing day‑to‑day quality activities.   Key Responsibilities   Lead, schedule, and coach QA Inspectors for incoming, in‑process, final, and weld inspections. Ensure correct interpretation of drawings/specifications; provide quality/technical support to Manufacturing and other teams. Manage nonconformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers. Oversee calibration of inspection and measuring equipment to maintain compliance. Review supplier documentation, support supplier inspections, and issue/verify certificates of conformance. Support quotes and contract reviews; prepare quality plans and required quality documents for orders. Lead/support internal, customer, and third‑party audits; maintain and improve the ISO 9001 quality system. Generate and use quality metrics (e.g., NCRs, audit data) to drive process and customer satisfaction improvements. Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce cost and improve quality using CI tools. Promote safe work practices and complete assigned quality projects and tasks on time.   Essential Requirements 5-10 years experience with ISO 9001 and mechanical inspection in manufacturing or service. Experience with welding/weld inspection and at least one of: forging, casting, fabrication, machining, or assembly. Able to qualify as AWS Certified Welding Inspector and VT Level II. Proven team leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills. High integrity and sound judgment. Good analytical skills; proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and formal Quality/CI programs.
