The function of the Sprinkler/Fire Alarm System Inspector Level 1 is to aid in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of all water-based fire protection system types.

 

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

1. Timely and efficient performance of inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based systems with direct supervision,

1. Load and handle materials and equipment
2. Wash and maintain vehicles
3. Assist with coordinating monitoring companies, fire department, and other authorities to avoid false alarms and unreported true alarms
4. Assist with requisitioning materials and equipment
5. Assist with servicing systems per manufacture’s maintenance manuals, the law, and the adopted Standards of the National Fire Protection Association
6. Assist with completing paperwork as directed
7. Assist with the preparation of proposals
8. All other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

 

1. HS Diploma or equivalent
2. Valid Driver’s License
3. Ability to be insured on company automobile insurance
4. Acceptable background check and drug screen

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

1. Basic arithmetic
2. Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
3. Basic computer and software skills
4. The ability to communicate in English
