Job Description:
Perform routine analytical chemistry tests in an accurate and timely manner. Be responsible for conducting routine quality control (QC) testing and recordkeeping in a safe, accurate and orderly manner. Conduct various wet chemical and instrumental analyses of samples for process control and final QC inspection. Ensure the accuracy of finished product analysis.
Education:
An Associate’s degree in science or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Science background
- Previous experience with the analytical testing
- Familiar with GMP/GLP (Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practices)
- Understanding of wet chemistry techniques including pH, conductivity, and oven moisture
- Experience with lab instrumentation including HPLC, GC ,ICP, refractometers, protein analyzers and IC is beneficial
- The willingness and ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Actively participate in training efforts and safety initiatives/engagements
- Attention to detail following procedures, proper analytical technique and computer entry
- Good judgment in reporting errors, unusual conditions or events to supervision
- Communicate results, problems, and priorities to supervisor and production departments in a timely manner
- Strong computer skills including accurate data entry and the use of databases and MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to follow complicated technical instructions
- Ability to use mathematics
- Flexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvement
