Job Description

Who You Are

As a Platform Enablement Specialist, you are a motivated and organized individual, that enjoys working in an ever-changing environment and has a keen eye for attention to detail. As someone who is motivated and ready to learn new skills in a fast paced and growing industry, you enjoy connecting dots for others and providing them with the knowledge and expertise in the technology they use to be successful. This person will focus on efficiency, organization, and strong communication to ensure smooth daily operations of the platform assigned.

The Impact You Will Have

The Platform Enablement Specialist at QTS, is a person that spends time both behind the scenes and with end-users understanding technology and educating others on how best to leverage the technology for their needs. By being a part of the buildout of new and existing platforms, you will have the opportunity to speak for your end-users, advocating for changes, enhancements, and process improvements to make our technology the gold standard.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

· Design, develop, and deliver end-user enablement programs for a custom operations platform across iOS (iPhone and iPad) and web — tailored to data center technicians, operations managers, and support staff.

· Collaborate closely with product and business analysis teams to stay ahead of upcoming releases, sprint deliverables, and feature changes so learning materials are always current.

· Develop multi-format educational assets including quick reference guides, interactive walkthroughs, video demos, and hands-on lab exercises for mobile and web contexts.

· Facilitate live enablement sessions — both in-person and virtual — adapting content to varied technical literacy levels across operational staff.

· Maintain a content library in coordination with the Marketing team that is version-controlled and updated alongside each sprint release cycle.

· Partner with the BA and QA teams during testing to observe workflows firsthand and identify usability pain points that inform learning content design.

· Gather and analyze post-enablement feedback; iterate on materials to improve comprehension and reduce support escalations.

· Serve as a visible, approachable resource for end users during go-live periods and new feature rollouts.

· Develop role-based learning paths that account for different user personas (e.g., Critical Operations Technicians, floor supervisors, managers).

· Track content completion and competency metrics; report to stakeholders on readiness status ahead of production releases.

What You Will Need to be Successful (Qualifications)

· 3+ years of experience in end-user enablement or instructional design for custom or enterprise software.

· Demonstrated experience training in an agile development environment — comfortable with incomplete features, sprint-by-sprint rollouts, and evolving scope.

· Proficiency creating learning content for both mobile (iOS/iPad) and web-based applications.

· Strong facilitation skills — able to lead small-group sessions, 1-on-1 coaching, and larger webinars.

· Ability to quickly learn and translate complex, technical software workflows into clear, accessible language.

· Exceptional written communication skills for documentation, quick-reference guides, and release notes.

· Willingness and ability to travel up to 25–30% to support on-site training, go-live events, and new site rollouts.

Other Key Skills (Preferred Qualifications)

· 3+ years of experience in end-user enablement or instructional design for custom or enterprise software.

· Experience in a data center, critical facilities, or industrial operations environment.

· Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, alarm management, or asset tracking systems.

· Experience working alongside product managers or business analysts in a product lifecycle team.

· Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar agile tooling for tracking release content.

· Certification in instructional design (ATD, CPTD, or similar).

· Experience with LMS platforms or eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Camtasia, etc.).
