Vice President of Business Development (2026-0151)
Job Description
We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our team in Hanover, MD, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development. This is a key leadership role driving growth within a respected, employee‑owned, mission‑focused organization.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support teaming discussions, strategy development, solutioning sessions, and storyboard/annotated outline creation
- Develop detailed capture plans that translate customer needs into compelling, differentiated solution elements
- Build a comprehensive picture of the competitive landscape, including direct engagement with potential partners and competitors
- Mentor and train personnel involved in proposal development—writers, SMEs, consultants, and supporting staff—providing hands-on guidance
- Contribute directly to solution development throughout active proposal efforts
- Serve as proposal manager for high‑visibility or strategic opportunities, ensuring clear strategy, strong execution, and compelling responses
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Writing, Journalism, Political Science, or a technical discipline
- 10+ years of proposal or capture experience, including 2+ years developing or supporting technical solutions
- Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred; customer badge access desired
- Ability to work non‑standard and extended hours as needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate group solution sessions
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and a proactive, can‑do mindset
- Shipley Capture Certification or equivalent strongly preferred

The pay range for this position is $220,000 to $250,000
