You will work on modern, distributed systems and cloud environments, leveraging advanced tools and techniques to simulate real-world workloads and identify performance bottlenecks.
This role requires strong expertise in performance engineering, scripting (Python), API-based testing, and CI/CD integration, with a deep focus on improving system efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities & Scope
- Build and design performance testing frameworks (tools, standards, execution model, reporting)
- Define performance test strategies, workload models, and execution approaches
- Derive realistic workload scenarios using production traffic patterns
- Analyze system architecture to identify critical APIs, dependencies, and workflows
- Develop API-based performance scripts using:
- Gatling (Scala/Java – preferred)
- JMeter / Locust
- Leverage Python (mandatory) for scripting, automation, and custom tooling
- Execute load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing
- Perform deep performance analysis and bottleneck identification (latency, CPU, memory, database, network)
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide performance tuning recommendations
- Integrate and automate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Validate scalability in Azure cloud environments (App Services, AKS, Functions)
- Test performance across microservices and distributed systems architectures
- Define and align NFRs, KPIs, and SLAs with stakeholders
- Design and execute reliability and chaos engineering experiments (Azure Chaos Studio, Gremlin)
- Utilize APM and observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, Splunk) to analyze logs, metrics, and traces
- Build dashboards and deliver performance insights and reporting
- Collaborate with Dev, DevOps, and Architecture teams to optimize system performance
