Departmental Overview

Compensation/Benefits

  • $27.83-$45.46/hr depending on previous work experience.

Job Summary

  • Assesses the patient.
  • Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
  • Assists physicians with procedures.
  • Provides age specific patient care and education. Notifies appropriate staff of concerns regarding patient care or physician’s orders.
  • Assists in the maintenance of patient ultrasound exam information. 
  • Assists in maintaining the unit in working order.
  • Participates in quality management activities. 

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates degree in Ultrasound or equivalent as defined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Experience

  • One year of experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or obtain ARDMS/RDCS credential within one year of employment from hire date. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
