Your role
We are looking for a MES Engineer with strong experience in manufacturing systems, data analysis, and application support. Experience with GE Proficy Plant Applications is highly desirable, but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with MES platforms and be capable of quickly adapting to new systems such as Proficy. This role will support the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of manufacturing digital solutions. This role focuses on working across the different components of Proficy Plant Applications, including administration, desktop client, and Web Client, ensuring that production data is effectively captured, analyzed, and used by plant teams. The position involves collaborating with manufacturing sites, assisting with system adoption, troubleshooting issues, and supporting data analysis through basic SQL queries. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with operational understanding, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to improving visibility and efficiency in production environments.
- Interaction with various manufacturing sites
- Scheduling time and helping the site to adopt the web client
- Help sites to resolve queries and issues
Your profile
Core technical skills required:
- Experience working with MES systems in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience with .NET (for support, customization, or integrations)
Preferred (not mandatory) experience with GE Proficy includes:
- Proficy Plant Applications (Enterprise Edition, e.g., 2023 / SIM 15)
- Plant Applications Administrator (system configuration and setup)
- Plant Applications Client (Windows-based)
- Plant Applications Web Client, including functional use of modules such as:
- My Machines
- Downtime
- Autolog
- Activities
- Analysis
- Alarms
- Process Orders
- Waste
- (Additional modules such as Genealogy or Operator Log are a plus)
- Familiarity with running basic queries against MES databases (e.g., GBDB) using MS SQL Server Management Studio
- Experience supporting or contributing to system migrations or transitions (e.g., Web Client adoption)
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, support end users, and interact with manufacturing stakeholders
