Role & Responsibilities
- Looking after and cleaning sports facility; areas include bathrooms, locker rooms, basketball courts, soccer fields, daycare center, gymnastics area and facility common areas.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of rubber and tile floors daily, which includes operating floor machines.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of carpets throughout the facility
- Clean windows and ledges around the facility year-round.
- Assist in event and party set-up, which includes setting up tables, chairs, sports equipment, inflatable jumper and waterslide in summer time.
- Garbage and debris removal
- Basic maintenance of facility, including changing light bulbs, painting, plumbing, fixing small equipment, replacing broken plexiglass and fixing batting cage machines and net. etc.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment
- Strong customer service, organization, communication, and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Maintain a neat appearance and have good hygiene
- Good "people skills" and a “team player” attitude
- Must be willing to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime
- Non-allergenic to chemicals or dust
- Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds
- Ability to climb 4’, 6’, and 8’ ladders
- Detail-oriented, punctual, friendly, and motivated
Preferences:
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience
- Prior experience in a fitness/sports facility
- Comfortable being in a locker room environment
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
- OSHA 10 Certified
