Job overview: At AXA UK, our Data Research and Development (R&D) team is dedicated to harnessing the power of data to drive smarter, more predictive insurance pricing models for our Retail Motor and Household products
We focus on exploring new data sources and advanced analytics to enhance our segmentation and risk prediction capabilities, ensuring we stay ahead in a competitive market
As part of this team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of insurance analytics through innovative data enrichment strategies
Key responsibilities: Lead and support projects focused on data enrichment to enhance model accuracy and segmentation
Identify and evaluate new predictive features from diverse data sources, assessing their commercial value
Develop and implement advanced predictive models and analytics techniques
Create and maintain robust data pipelines for live rating and ELR integration
Support governance and contractual management of data sources and providers
Act as the key interface between Data R&D and risk pricing model owners
Develop tools and metrics to measure the value of new data sources
Drive innovation by exploring novel ways to utilise existing data for modelling enhancements
Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers
You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future
Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events
Your skills & experience: Proficiency in predictive modelling and analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, or SQL
Demonstrable experience working with external data sources and integrating them into models
Strong numerical and mathematical skills, with a 2.1 degree or higher in a related discipline
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders
A passion for learning new techniques, including machine learning and statistical methods
Ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver projects within a fast-paced environment
