Job Description

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines; assists with slot installation and slot floor moves.

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for this position.)

 

 

1. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance or assistance.

 

2. Replace parts and circuit boards which have caused malfunctions; may repair some circuit boards, with assistance.

 

3. May utilize shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts.

 

4. May occasionally act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.

 

5. May be given occasional assignments to provide training to slot technicians, floorpersons or trainees.

 

6. Maintains moderate skill levels in mechanical and electronic functions, with possible advanced skills in either.

 

7. Performs general and preventive maintenance slot machine inspection, machine moving and installation.

 

8. Investigate slot drop and meter variances.

 

9. Investigate door switch communications and make necessary repairs.

 

10. Investigate and review slot system reports and make necessary repairs. 

 

11. Be in compliance with all company policies, internal controls and Missouri Gaming Commission regulations.

 

12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license

• Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.

• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

• Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.

• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

 

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of an AA degree in Electronics and one-year slot repair experience, or through a minimum of two years’ progressive slot repair experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
