Job Summary

The Patient Care Assistant:

Assists Nursing Service personnel in the performance of a variety of duties directly and indirectly related to patient care delivery always under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse.
Functions according to the policies and procedures of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
Reports the results of all treatments and procedures to the nurse.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
High School Diploma - OR - GED

Experience

Prior direct patient care experience preferred, but not required for employment

Certification and Licensure

BLS Certification
PA Certified Nursing assistant license
CPI required within 3 months
