About The Role

The Senior Specialist, People Data Governance, will play a critical role in ensuring our HR data is accurate, secure, compliant, and analytics-ready.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving data challenges, improving processes, building automation, and partnering across HR and IT to create trusted data foundations across a global organization.

Own the Foundation of HR Data

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of foundational HR data

  • Ensure governance policies and standards are followed

  • Support data migrations during system upgrades and implementations

  • Coordinate governance across HR technology platforms

  • Maintain documentation and audit trails

Lead Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits

  • Support compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

  • Monitor HR system access controls

  • Support security protocols to protect sensitive employee data

  • Lead governance training related to compliance

 

Champion Data Quality

  • Conduct data audits and quality assessments

  • Cleanse and validate HR data across systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS, analytics platforms)

  • Troubleshoot data issues and recommend solutions

  • Maintain data standards documentation

  • Produce compliance and integrity scorecards

 

Build Automation & Improve Efficiency

  • Design automation tools and workflows to improve data validation and reporting

  • Leverage Master Data Management (MDM) tools

  • Build dashboards to monitor compliance and data quality

  • Implement alerts for data exceptions

  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR data processes

 

Deliver Reporting & Insights

  • Create dashboards and reports (Power BI/Tableau)

  • Deliver compliance scorecards to leadership

  • Extract and validate HR data for workforce planning

  • Combine people and business data to tell meaningful stories

 

Governance 

  • Deliver training on data governance and compliance standards

  • Develop governance documentation and training materials

  • Guide HR and system users on best practices

  • Partner with HR, IT, and analytics teams on cross-functional initiatives

 

Experience

  • 3–5 years in HR systems, data governance, or data quality

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, ADP)

  • Experience supporting SOX/ITGC compliance (preferred)

  • Experience in regulated industries (a plus)

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI or Tableau)

  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools

  • Familiarity with SQL or relational databases (preferred)

  • Experience building automation (Power Automate, Python, RPA tools a plus)

  • Understanding of data architecture and integration basics

Compensation - $93,600 - $126,000 plus bonus
