Job Description
The Data Specialist will work toward obtaining, interpreting, auditing, testing and entering OEM & lender data for syndication to various products. The Data Specialist must apply specialized knowledge of automotive vehicle and program information for each assigned OEM & lender; and update & maintain all data toward providing accurate information within our products.
The Data Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and efficiency standards of the Company and all supported products.This individual also completes ad hoc and advanced Company tasks and projects as assigned. The individual will need to work with other team members and Management as needed to meet partner expectations.
Additional responsibilities will include sourcing of new data, partner & dealership interactions, lender & OEM engagement, and creating documentation for communicating process flows and data entry methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Individual must understand all aspects of assigned lenders & OEMs and how different data points interact with one another.
Utilize data feeds, websites, documents or similar to obtain and process new data updates.
Individual must enter all required data in an accurate and timely manner.
Post-entry, individual will audit their own data accuracy, as well as that of their team members.
Individual will proactively source and obtain new or missing lender & OEM data as needed to ensure all data is available and accurate within products.
Assist department with automating data entry wherever possible.
Complete all assigned projects on time and within established SLAs
Work with vendors and internal teams to enhance products and resolve discrepancies
Correct any known data errors and respond to inquiries received from customer support, external partners, and internal team members.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of experience in a related field
Proficiency with MS office
MS Excel expertise is preferred
Ability to make, understand and analyze API calls/responses (Postman)
10-key experience preferred
Experience with lender rate sheets and OEM programs is preferred
Experience with taxes, fees and automobile-financing contracts preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be organized and adaptable to an ever-changing and fast-moving field
Must be a team player but also able to work autonomously
Must perform well under pressure and will need to work long hours occasionally
High level of data-entry accuracy
24/7 rotational shifts
