Fitter - Maintenance Underground

About The Role Our Fitters help keep things moving underground, maintaining equipment so production can continue safely and efficiently. We’re after 1 x Fitter to join the team on a mid-week backshift, rotating between afternoon and night shifts. This role is based in Narrabri, NSW and is available on a residential or DIDO basis (Temporary camp for up to 3 months while you find a room share/rental),  OR with relocation assistance on offer. What You’ll Do Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance work on underground mining equipment Maintain plant availability through inspections, fault finding, diagnosis and remediation actions. Report on defects and update maintenance and production logs Complete planned and routine maintenance as per schedule. Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability. What You’ll Bring Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade QualificationMinimum 12-months experience working in an underground mine Experience working on mining or heavy earthmoving machinery Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon Ability to meet clean-shaven requirements in line with underground coal mining respiratory safety standards.
