Utility Area Installation Lead
Job Description
• HSE activities:
- Support and enforce project guidelines, HSE objectives and global improvement (e.g. referential, Golden Rules, reporting, REX, audits, Maestro, trainings, HSE action plans…).
- Responsible for the respect of the HSE Rules and Company Specifications for his activity (also in term of QA & QC)
- Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.
- Initiate and/or Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts.
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe work practices
• ASSET INTEGRITY:
- Contributes to the Ratawi Asset Integrity initiative by reporting any anomaly, defect, bad practice, lack of equipment, lack of competence that could result in a major HSE incident or loss of production.
• Daily Activities and missions:
- Lead and coordinate construction activities for piping, mechanical, civil, and E&I works for the Utilities area directly with Contractor team
- Follow up and ensure the selected Contractor’s to carry out works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Lead Construction engineering review
- Prepare, Review and validate construction methods and work instructions closely with the construction contractor
- Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules,
- Check the procedures and task sheets of the Companies, participate, or control the risk analyses, help in the preparation / check the work permits,
- Resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with engineering teams.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure proper allocation of manpower and equipment.
- Optimize and follow up the work schedules, to do this check the good organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site Control material deliveries and verify conformity with project requirements
- Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions,
- Organise Pre-commissioning activities, formalize handover dossier to Field Operations, ensure that mark-up documentation is reflecting the site condition and forward those to Engineering.
- Monitor progress and report daily to the Construction Manager
- Maintain good relationships with contractors, displaying flexibility when needed while also enforcing necessary standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction field.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the oil industry, with significant experience in Construction.
- Previous experience under SIMOPS works will be considered as a plus.
- Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team.
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
Location: Basra, Iraq
Schedule: Rotational – 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
Duration 6 months
