We have an amazing opportunity for a
Eastmont - Medical Records Coordinator (FT)to join our team!
This role starts at $23.00 per hour. The shift for this role is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Open to flexible start time.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer medical records training or licensed as an RN or LPN
- Two years medical experience preferred
Essential functions & responsibilities
Coordinates visits and implements suggestions from the Medical Records Consultant. Fulfills requirements as set forth by federal and state regulations for medical records. Periodically reviews medical records and oversees medical records staff to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinates all needs regarding insurance of all types with the billing office. Coordinates with pharmacy and billing office re: verification of bills. Performs duties, communicates with nursing staff and consults with nursing supervisors to ensure medical records are accurate, complete, organized and stored according to current standards. Serves as a resource to Medical Records staff. Provides input for Medical Records staff performance evaluations. Coordinates scheduling for Medical Records staff. Works full time in accordance with state regulations. Has knowledge of and adheres to HIPAA guidelines. Is actively engaged in Leadership activities and strategic planning. Responsible for supervision, growth, and development of team members. Participates in personal and professional growth by attending mandatory in-services, scheduled department meetings and any other required training on or off campus. Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures at Eastmont as set forth in departmental policies and the Employee Handbook. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate effectively with residents, family members, doctors and peers. Desire to work with senior adults and their families. Good organizational skills; must be detailed and accurate. Must have basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word and other programs. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and want to work in a team environment. Must be able to relate to other people by giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor. Maintains confidentiality of resident information. Be honest, dependable and reliable. Must be able to frequently sit, talk, and grasp items. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and carry 10 feet.
