Your mission

The role – Director Scientific Publications (M/F)

As part of the creation of a new position within the Medical and Patient Affairs Department which brings together 3 therapeutic areas - Dermatology, Oncology and Primary Care, the Director Scientific Publications will play a central role in shaping and driving our global publication plan.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the scientific publication strategy and the corresponding publication plans across our portfolios (clinical studies, RWE, meta-analyses, review articles, etc.).
  • Ensuring that study results are made available to healthcare professionals and patients with the highest level of integrity and in line with international publication standards and good publication practices.
  • Leading and managing the Pharma Scientific Publications team, guaranteeing the effective deployment of publication plans across all portfolios, from R&D through to commercialization, for Dermatology, Oncology and Primary Care.

Your role within a pioneering, innovative company

Based in our Anthos site in Boulogne-Billancourt (Greater Paris Area, France), you turn data into clear, reliable science for the medical community. As Director Scientific Publications, you support the overall publication strategy for our Dermatology, Oncology and Primary Care portfolios and translate it into concrete plans.

You work closely with affiliates, R&D, Disease area Medical Directions, Market Access, Patient Affairs and the Medical Omnichannel team to identify publication needs and make sure each abstract, poster, oral communication and manuscript fits with our global strategy. You oversee the full life cycle of publications: you bring the right people together, coordinate authors and agencies, lead development, review, approval and submission, and ensure everything complies with good publication practices and international guidelines.

You define and steer the international publication plan with local medical affairs teams and partners, and follow execution through clear KPIs. You also manage the scientific publications team, ensure publication plans are deployed from R&D through to commercialization, oversee the related budgets, and put in place the processes and governance needed for the function to run efficiently and consistently over time.

What we offer :

  • A newly created, permanent position with a broad, strategic scope across 3 therapeutic areas (Dermatology, Oncology and Primary Care)
  • The opportunity to build and shape the scientific publications function from R&D to commercialization.
  • Management of 2–3 Scientific publication specialists
  • A hybrid work model: 3 days on site / 2 days remote.
  • A competitive package, including: base + bonus and access to the Ruscus employee share ownership plan

Who you are ?

You hold a 5-year university degree, Master’s, PhD or Doctorate in pharmacy, medicine or science, and you have built 2–5 years of solid experience in scientific publications. You know what it means to take a study from results to abstract, poster or manuscript, and to work with congresses and journals. Experience in Medical Affairs, R&D or Real-World Evidence is a strong plus, as is exposure to industry and/or laboratory environments, in addition to  academia.

Previous managerial experience is a plus, and you are ready to take responsibility for a small team. You are comfortable navigating at least one therapeutic area, ideally in dermatology, oncology or primary care.

You bring more than technical knowledge: you understand the end-to-end publication process and are used to coordinating authors, agencies and internal experts, keeping timelines under control and ensuring that every piece you deliver is accurate, compliant and usable by the medical and commercial teams.
You are fluent in English at business level and comfortable working in an international environment. French is not mandatory.

The role is based at our Anthos site in Boulogne-Billancourt (Greater Paris Area, France), in a hybrid working model.
