A Day in the Life of a Veterinary Technician:

As a Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a compassionate team to help heal injured pets. Our technicians partner with all departments to ensure lifesaving care for our shelter pets. Our veterinary technicians impact over 10,000 shelter pets a year while serving their community in several ways, such as partnering with our Pet Help Center to help owners keep pets, and outreach events to extend animal lifesaving throughout Jacksonville.

Our techs rotate between various tasks including surgery assistance, pulling/drawing biological specimen collection for testing, filling meds, and so much more. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for learning and science. They also come from a strong customer service background and find fulfillment in teamwork and collaboration.

Schedule: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) and Part-Time (28 Hours/Week). Weekends required.
Salary: $15/hour (non-exempt)
