Primary Purpose: The Allocation Analyst is responsible for all product newness and replenishment allocation activities associated with SEA retail and outlet business channels for lifestyle categories. The ideal candidate will be required to manage and develop allocation strategy to ensure the right product arrives at the right stores at the right time. This is a key role in executing the merchandising strategy in the market and ensure store inventory levels are appropriate. This role is also responsible for re-balancing inventory opportunities and initiating any store-to-store transfers to optimize inventory.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Allocation to...

  • Create & support allocation and inventory strategy based on sales analysis and financial projection.
    • Sales analysis needs to be according to: Door profiling, Product category plan, current trends, seasonality and various Events
  • Allocation execution for all regions’ stores to meet or exceed sales, comp gross margin, turn/W-O-H, and inventory goals
    • Initial Allocation planning & execution
    • Weekly replenishment to stores
    • Store to store transfer
    • New store allocations, seasonal markdowns, marketing / promotional events
  • Perform in-season analysis to recommend regional inventory balancing opportunity to drive financial results and product productivity.
  • Work closely with DC/logistics team to fine-tune inbound/outbound shipments schedules and volume projection to ensure smooth inventory flow to support the business strategy 
  • Cross-functional partnership and decision making to prioritize stores/products with on-time delivery for monthly newness launch, marketing events and new store openings.
  • Communicate Allocation plan, delivery status and inventory related strategies directly with stores & other cross-functional partners especially retail management and Visual Merchandising
  • Visit stores on a bi-weekly basis to understand opportunities on what’s working, what’s not working and develop action plan with cross functional teams (Retail management & VM)
  • Proactively drive business process reengineering and optimize system capabilities

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • Min. 3-5 years’ experience in retail business. Merchandise Allocation / Planning experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of buying/merchandising/allocation success for multinational brand/company
  • Experience in managing multiple direct reports
  • Analytical skills and ability to translate data into action points with clear communication
  • Ability to perform well under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Experience in merchandising/planning systems and SAP a plus
