Advocating for the interests of airlines across the globe, we challenge unreasonable rules and charges, hold regulators and governments to account, and strive for sensible regulation. As Global Lead Safety Security Policy, you will be responsible for shaping and advancing the airline’s global policy positions and advocacy strategy on safety and security. The role focuses on influencing regulatory, legislative, and institutional frameworks to ensure globally harmonized, risk‑based, and operationally effective safety and security frameworks. You will report to the Director Global Advocacy Strategy and you will engage at senior level with governments, regulators, international organizations, and industry stakeholders. What your day would be like Define clear, evidence‑based policy positions on safety regulation, security requirements, oversight regimes, and emerging risks. Translate complex regulatory and security developments into clear operational and strategic implications for airlines. Lead high‑level advocacy with policymakers, regulators, and authorities at national, regional, and international levels on safety and security issues. Together with the relevant technical SMEs; Develop and lead the airline’s global advocacy strategy on aviation safety and security policy, aligned with international standards and airline requirements. Anticipate and assess emerging regulatory, geopolitical, and technological developments that may impact airline safety and security operations. Coordinate lobbying activities, including bilateral meetings, consultation responses, position papers, and participation in relevant meetings and working groups. Work with alliance partners and industry coalitions to align positions and amplify airline advocacy, while safeguarding airline interests. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure airline alignment on key policies and positions through engagement with the relevant airline industry groups. Work cross‑functionally with OSS, legal, communications, and regional teams to ensure coherent advocacy positions and compliance with the advocacy / lobbying framework. Track policy outcomes, regulatory changes, and advocacy effectiveness at global and regional levels.
