Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager

Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager oversees daily F&B operations across all outlets and venues, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient service, and full compliance with food safety and company standards. This role leads front-of-house and back-of-house teams across restaurant, bar, banquet, and catering operations, and partners closely with the sales and events teams to execute group functions, private events, and on-property catering. The F&B Manager builds a positive, accountable team culture and drives operational and financial performance year-round.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, supervise, and support front-of-house and back-of-house teams across all F&B outlets and event functions
  • Recruit, train, and onboard staff on service standards, operational procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship that builds accountability and growth
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture across restaurant, bar, and events operations
  • Manage scheduling, shift coverage, and labor to align staffing with business volume and event calendars

Restaurant & Bar Operations

  • Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations for efficiency, quality, and consistency
  • Ensure prompt, friendly, high-quality service that delivers a memorable guest experience
  • Address and resolve guest concerns professionally and in real time
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and beverage standards across all service periods
  • Coordinate staff and service flow during peak periods

Banquets, Events & Catering

  • Execute banquets, private events, weddings, and group functions in line with banquet event orders (BEOs)
  • Partner with sales and events teams on event planning, menu coordination, staffing, and logistics
  • Oversee room setup, service execution, and breakdown for all on- and off-site catering and events
  • Serve as the F&B point of contact during events, ensuring timing, quality, and guest expectations are met
  • Coordinate with culinary leadership on event menus, special requests, and dietary needs

Financial & Inventory Management

  • Monitor food and beverage inventory; manage ordering and supplier relationships
  • Track product usage, control costs, and minimize waste across outlets and events
  • Support revenue goals through upselling, service execution, and labor efficiency
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, register oversight, and end-of-shift reconciliation

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Follow and enforce company policies and food safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across dining areas, kitchens, bars, service stations, and event spaces


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years of restaurant management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain excellent attendance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Computer and POS system (Toast) knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Schedule Requirements

  • Full-time
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reside on Island of Hawaii (Big Island)
