What You Will Do
The Production Inspector is primarily responsible for the visual inspection of molded parts and assemblies to detect defects and non-conformances. Qualified candidates will have previous experience with visual inspections using the naked eye, a microscope and/or AI technology. In addition to visual inspection this position may also be required to set up Mold Machines, perform general maintenance, and other duties as assigned which may include soldering/assembling of cables and medical devices.
This is a 2nd Shift position working Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 2:30am. Training will be provided during the first 30-45 days of employment, which will require working on 1st Shift (Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm) during that time.
- Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and regulations are met.
Demonstrate knowledge and act in accordance with NMT’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
Team Player who is willing to support business needs, peers and other departments.
Thoroughly reads and follows all job sheets, production drawings, MAI’s and R&D sample assemblies.
- Ability to use a microscope for inspection.
Installs molds and adjusts controls on Mold Machines.
Performs daily inspections on equipment and molding tools as instructed by the Molding Supervisor or designee.
Performs assigned jobs as required by Manufacturing Assembly Instructions.
Performs in-line inspection and testing to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Performs troubleshooting and recommends solutions to simple problems such as short shots, blow outs, flash, etc.
Responsible for the quality of the product produced.

Soldering of cables and devices

What You Bring
Core Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1 year experience in inspection using a microscope.
- Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions such as Manufacturing Assembly Instructions, Quality Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
The ability to perform simple writing tasks such as recording log entries, lot numbers and dates.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with injection molding and/or operating manufacturing machines is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $18.00 – $19.50/hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. A $0.75/hour Night Shift Differential will be paid for all hours worked on Night Shift.
