Director (Learning Innovation & Development)
Job Description
Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership, governance and direction for learning innovation and development by designing, enhancing and assuring high‑quality executive, professional and advanced education programmes that are future‑ready, industry‑relevant and aligned with institutional standards and commercial objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Learning Strategy & Innovation
Define and drive the learning innovation strategy for executive, professional and lifelong learning programmes in alignment with the Centre’s strategic direction.
Champion forward‑looking pedagogical approaches, learning technologies and delivery models to enhance learning outcomes and learner experience.
Lead experimentation and adoption of new methodologies including digital, blended, modular and experiential learning formats.
Programme Design & Development
Provide oversight of curriculum design, instructional frameworks and programme architecture for open, customised and executive offerings.
Ensure learning outcomes, assessment approaches and delivery methods meet academic, professional and industry requirements.
Work closely with faculty, subject matter experts and industry partners to co‑create impactful, practice‑oriented programmes.
Quality Assurance & Governance
Ensure compliance with academic governance, quality assurance frameworks, MOHE requirements and professional accreditation standards.
Oversee programme approval, review, evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
Uphold academic integrity while balancing innovation, speed‑to‑market and commercial viability.
Faculty & Capability Development
Support faculty and facilitators in adopting innovative pedagogies and effective executive education practices.
Drive capability building initiatives related to instructional design, facilitation excellence and learner engagement.
Foster cross‑functional collaboration between academic, programme and operations teams.
Strategic Advisory & Performance Monitoring
Serve as a strategic advisor to the Senior Director and Centre leadership on learning innovation, quality and development matters.
Establish and monitor learning quality metrics, programme effectiveness and learner satisfaction indicators.
Prepare reports, insights and recommendations for management, committees and governance platforms.
Qualification & Experience:
Recognised Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Management, Engineering or related fields.
Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience, with significant exposure in programme development, learning innovation, executive education or professional learning environments.
Proven experience in curriculum design, pedagogy innovation and quality assurance.
Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and leadership capabilities.
Excellent written, verbal and strategic communication skills.
