- Schedule: 6AM – 6PM (2-2-3 schedule)
- Pay: $32/hour

About the Role:
As a Melting Technician operating the industrial furnace at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for a variety of jobs throughout the hot end area. Safety will be your upmost priority while supporting the effective production of high-quality stone wool insulation products within the Company’s parameters of material and time efficiency. Reporting to the respective shift Production Supervisor, the Melting Technician is part of the operations team focused on continuous improvement and maximizing uptime.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 6 years’ continuous flow manufacturing or industrial experience required.
- Prior experience working in the aggregate, steel, or metal refining industries preferred.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and maximizing production output.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Possess a mechanical mindset with the ability to use basic hand tools and high-powered industrial equipment, such as pressure washers and a jack hammer.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office required
- Grow and develop the team by training new hires and sharing knowledge and experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and adjust production process equipment required in the industrial melting furnace area, including spinners, WESP, binder, raw material hoppers, process water, filters, and resin tanks.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and act as the first line of defense for process, mechanical and technical issues.
- Ensure consistency in the volumes and quality of melt being produced and delivered to help drive execution against the production plan and key performance indicators.
- Monitor all alarms, immediately taking corrective action to remedy any issues and notifying the production supervisor, if necessary.
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor and other members of the melt and downstream production team to set priorities and effectively escalate any issues during the day-to-day operations.
