Role description:
As a Senior Rebar Detailer / BIM Modeler at Arcadis, you will be responsible for preparing detailed rebar drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS) for various Water structures in accordance with UK standards and project requirements. The role supports project delivery by ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant reinforcement detailing for fabrication and installation. You will collaborate with engineers, and other disciplines in GEC and UK to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely delivery.
Role accountabilities:
- Prepare detailed reinforcement drawings for various Water concrete structures (e.g., Reservoirs, Pumping stations, Valve chambers etc.)
- Ensure all detailing work complies with UK standards (e.g., BS 8666,), project specifications, and company procedures
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing, including steel-to-steel and steel-to-concrete connections
- Liaise with structural engineers, other disciplines to resolve queries and coordinate detailing requirements
- Incorporate design changes, revisions, and site variations into detailing deliverables
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, schedules, revisions, and communications
- Develop details and drawings from engineer’s sketches.
- Identify and address potential constructability and buildability issues, proactively seeking effective solutions
- Create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions, evidenced through great feedback
- May use 3D RC detailing platforms to prepare reinforcement models and drawings and may support ongoing improvements to detailing processes and team practices.
- Good communication skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering / BTech from a recognized institution/University.
- Around 8-10 years of experience with proven experience in rebar/reinforcement detailing within the UK construction industry
Required Competencies:
- Sound technical knowledge of BS8666 and ISTructE detailing manual
- Familiar with British & European codes, drawing standards and practices related to water utility drawing production.
- Proficiency in software Autocad, CADS RC, Revit
- Experience with Common Data Environments (CDE), such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret general arrangement and related drawings accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under tight deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement.
- Compliance of Arcadis business management system.
