Job Description
This role is responsible for supporting activities related to the accounting and integrity of US GAAP and MEX GAAP P&L and Balance Sheet, Financial Statements Analysis, collaborate with External and Internal Audits requirements, provide accounting guidance to Business on their initiatives and projects, and develop month close analysis process improvements by leveraging AI tools.
- Participate in projects, initiatives and issues remediation to help Business.
- Provide support to the leader analyzing year over year and month over month P&L variances and their explanation, raising potential issues impacting Business and Financials.
- Develop spreadsheets and working papers required for projections, financial statement, variance analysis, reports, etc., looking for automation and enhancement opportunities leveraging AI tools.
- Prepare, extract and summarize financial information required for analysis and presentations.
- Participation and support in statutory (PwC), IAG and Tax audits.
- Support Manager in the completion of ongoing projects and deliverables as required.
- Monitor monthly activity, entries and trends to timely identify, raise and follow up on potential missing or wrong entries, risk controls and broken processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- Up to date knowledge and experience in US GAAP and MEX GAAP.
- At least two years of experience performing financial analysis, providing meaningful comments on variances and main drivers.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Hyperion platforms, Power Query, AI Tools (Chat GPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc.) and Power BI is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong knowledge in excel and MS Office.
- Data mining expertise is desired.
- Ability to collaborate across geographies in a matrix structure and deliver on customer expectations, being flexible to acquire additional responsibilities, job rotation and help the rest of the team.
- SQL/programming is preferred.
- Experience working with Oracle GL.
