Role Purpose

The Learning Facilitator delivers impactful, learner‑centred learning experiences that build capability and improve performance. This role creates inclusive and engaging environments where learners can confidently practise and apply new skills across classroom, virtual, and blended learning formats, aligned to business and client objectives.

Key Accountabilities 

1.Deliver Engaging Learning Experiences

  • Facilitate in‑person and virtual learning sessions using adult learning principles and interactive methodologies.
  • Adapt facilitation approaches to suit diverse learner groups and delivery formats.

2. Learning Preparation & Customisation

  • Prepare and tailor learning materials such as presentations, facilitator guides, activities, and case studies to meet learner and business needs.
  • Ensure learning content reflects current business context and priorities.

3. Learner Engagement & Inclusion

  • Create a psychologically safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and values diverse perspectives.
  • Confidently manage group dynamics, questions, and time constraints.

4. Learning Needs Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Assess learner needs through stakeholder engagement, pre‑work, diagnostics, and feedback data.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

5. Learning Transfer & Coaching

  • Support transfer of learning through action plans, follow‑up activities, coaching prompts, and on‑the‑job practice.
  • Coach and support learners during and after learning events, directing them to additional resources where appropriate.

6. Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate learning effectiveness using feedback, knowledge checks, observation, and performance measures.
  • Continuously refine facilitation practice by staying current with learning trends, tools, and best practices.

7. Learning Operations & Administration

  • Manage session logistics including attendance tracking, scheduling inputs, virtual platform setup, accessibility considerations, and learning records where applicable.

  • Learners demonstrate improved capability, confidence, and on‑the‑job performance.

  • High levels of learner engagement and positive feedback from participants and stakeholders.

  • Learning solutions are delivered consistently, professionally, and aligned with business outcomes.

  • Strong partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  • Continuous improvement evident through data‑driven enhancements to learning delivery

Candidate Profile

Experience & Capability

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating learning in virtual and face‑to‑face environments.
  • Background in sales, sales management, retail banking, wealth banking, or financial services.
  • Experience coaching individuals and supporting behavioural and performance change.

Technical Strength

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills grounded in adult learning principles.
  • Instructional awareness, including learning design fundamentals.
  • Digital fluency with virtual learning platforms and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom, LMS).
  • Ability to use feedback, insights, and data to continuously improve learning outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
