Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure-focused roles is required.
- This role requires comfort working alongside AI‑powered tools while maintaining strong engineering judgment, validation, and accountability for outcomes.
- Engineers will contribute to the adoption and continuous improvement of AI‑enabled workflows by providing feedback, identifying opportunities for automation, and safely incorporating AI assistance into repeatable operational patterns.
- This includes leveraging approved AI tools and agents to assist with platform operations, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and workflow efficiency under established governance and best practices.
- Engineers on the INFOPS Application Development team are expected to actively use and support AI‑assisted and agentic engineering workflows as part of their day‑to‑day work.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms; experience with Red Hat OpenShift is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience administering or supporting MongoDB or PostgreSQL platforms deployed on Kubernetes-based environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, Jenkins, Codefresh, and Git-based workflows.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling (e.g., Helm, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot distributed systems issues with guidance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Motivation to continuously learn new technologies and expand technical skill sets.
Location: St. Louis, MO
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $112,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
