Job Summary:
Are you a nurse with a passion for recovery and a commitment to helping others rebuild their lives? Our residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program is seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse—either Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)—to provide high-quality, person-centered care to adult men and women in early recovery.
In this role, nurses are essential members of a multidisciplinary team, supporting patients through stabilization, healing, and the development of a foundation for long-term recovery. This position blends strong clinical skills with empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for serving individuals affected by substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Nurses in our program play a critical role in bridging medical care and recovery support. Beyond clinical responsibilities, they help create a foundation of safety, stability, and trust that allows patients to fully engage in treatment. Through a trauma-informed, compassionate approach, our nursing team empowers individuals to move forward in recovery with confidence, dignity, and hope.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical and mental health, including monitoring for withdrawal symptoms and changes in condition
- Evaluate and review patient appropriateness for admission and continued stay using ASAM criteria to ensure proper level of care placement
- Support the admission process, including health screenings, medical history review, and initial nursing assessments
- Administer medications and treatments safely, including support for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when applicable
- Monitor vital signs and overall health status, responding promptly and appropriately to emerging medical needs
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with recovery goals
- Provide patient education on substance use, recovery, relapse prevention, medication adherence, and overall wellness
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of patient care and progress
- Promote a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with patients, supporting them with dignity throughout their recovery journey
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a registered nurse (RN) or current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice; one year of experience preferred for RN.
- Completed graduation from an accredited practical nurse program for LPN.
- Ability to read & interpret documents such as lab results and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Ability to follow direction and accept supervision.
