Sr. Principal Reliability Engineer

Job Summary: Coherent is seeking an experienced transceiver/CPO Lead Reliability Engineering to lead reliability efforts and qualify highly-integrated transceivers for the exploding AI market. The primary aim of this role is to demonstrate sufficiently low field risk with a spectrum of test performed at component, subassembly, transceiver, and switch level and support market release with robust products. The high-complexity and leading-edge technologies required for optical transceivers and new photonics architectures involve diligent analysis, greater probability for unexpected problems, and more direct customer interaction. This Sr. Reliability Engineer must anticipate issues, develop new approaches estimating reliability, manage dynamic technical challenges and priorities, communicate critical updates and explanations to customers, and drive actions across multiple teams and global sites in order to deliver a robust product to the market on time.
