Your Role

The Learning Experience & Technology Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end instructional design process, ownership of instructional design tools and platforms, and learning management system (LMS) administration. You will partner with People & Culture leaders and Honest’s subject matter experts to strategize, design, execute, and evaluate curricula, courses, modules, and resources in support of: new hire orientation, role-based training, and regulatory/compliance education. You will leverage core concepts in adult learning theory and instructional design paired with emerging trends and technologies to create effective learning experiences. You will be responsible for the ongoing management and administrative tasks required to maintain the LMS. You will own and maintain all learning governance collateral: standards, guides, and templates. You will work on standard to complex projects, focusing on creating impactful and innovative learning solutions that align with our overall strategy. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our Learning & Organizational Development initiatives, helping build a knowledgeable and skilled workforce that drives our organization’s capabilities. By utilizing data analytics and feedback loops, you will continuously refine and enhance our content and resources, driving ongoing improvement and effectiveness.

Primary Functions of the Learning Experience & Technology Manager Include:

  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team and subject matter experts throughout Honest to ensure learning solutions meet the needs of the organization and deliver measurable results

  • Lead the comprehensive instructional design process in support of new hire orientation, role-based training, and regulatory/compliance education. This includes strategy, design, implementation, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement

  • Manage project plans for new course requests and existing course maintenance

  • Maintain content repositories (SharePoint) and learning pages on Honest’s intranet

  • Manage and maintain all learning governance collateral (design standards, guides, and templates)

  • Serve as the lead administrator and superuser for instructional design tools and technology (Articulate, Camtasia, SnagIt, Canva, Colossyan, etc.)

  • Serve as the lead LMS administrator and superuser (Workday Learning). This includes managing course content, catalogs, audiences, assignments, and reporting

  • Partner with Learning & Organizational Development Program Managers on LMS admin tactics and maintenance of course content, catalogs, audiences, assignments, and reports

  • Research and resolve LMS service requests and incidents

  • Advise Learning & Organizational Development Program Managers in support of content creation for professional development and engagement initiatives.

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

How You Qualify

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, instructional design, or adult learning or at least five years of experience in adult learning, learning & development, education, or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience of instructional design/curriculum development

  • 2+ years’ experience of learning management system administration experience; healthcare setting preferred

  • Technology Skills: proficient/expert in Articulate, Camtasia, and Canva; proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.

  • Communication Skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

  • Project Management Skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

  • Adaptability: flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Problem Solving Skills: strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find effective solutions in instructional design and LMS administration.

  • Attention to Detail: meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all materials.

  • Creativity and Innovation: ability to think outside the box to develop unique and engaging learning solutions.

  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.

The base pay range for this role is $84,200.00 - $97,800.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
