Job Description
Title: Coating Operator IIReports to: Operations ManagerDepartment: OperationsSupervises: N/AOrganizational Relationships:Basic Function: Maintain a higher degree of performance in operation of the coating ovens to ensure safe, efficient and economical function. Work with Coating Operator I to ensure operating standards are met and safety, cGMP compliant.Responsibilities:1. Work with Q/A on the release of machine and product being manufactured.2. Sign for receipt of components, issues, returns and transfers and make sure they are recorded correctly.3. Ensure that before starting the machine that proper line clearance from the previous job has been executed and that proper components and materials are brought to the machine for the new start up.4. Exceeds all standards set for each operation.5. Ensure that the product coming off the line is within predetermined product specifications.6. Perform proper daily cleaning and maintenance of work center and work area.7. Record production date, post production information both electronically and on paper, and complete reports and pallet tickets.8. Complete line cleaning and product changes.Paperwork:1. Follow instructions on PSDS.2. Complete and submit an operator report at the end of every shift.3. Complete and submit a line clearance for each shift.4. Prepare paperwork to return materials to stock.5. Familiarization of reconciling components daily.Control of Materials:1. Check the materials on the line are correct for the job.2. Check that the materials are all released.3. Make returns (paperwork) with correct count and correctly labeled.4. Must communicate with Manager, Lead, QC and other Operators.2. Gets help when having a problem or question with people, machines, quality or other items.3. Able to describe machine problem to mechanic to help repairs.4. Speaks to other operators in a way that improves their performance.Safety:1. Knows how to correctly and quickly stop the machine.2. Maintains aisle clearance around machine.3. Knows and follows procedure for fire drills.4. Keeps work area clean.5. Keeps proper control of trash and recycling.6. Follows cGMP Requirements.7. Knows Hazardous Communication / MSDS (Right to Know).Qualifications:1. High learning ability required to carry out a large number of manual assembly and machine related duties at customer and Acupac’s quality and quantity standards.2. Excellent visual inspection required to identify any defects.3. Excellent clerical ability needed to accurately record necessary data on line with basic mathematical aptitude.4. High School diploma or equivalent. Must have ability to read, write and comprehend operating procedures in English (bilingual Spanish a plus).5. Must have necessary machine skills, including proper operation, adjustment and maintenance and the ability to work safely.6. Excellent interpersonal skills.7. Basic computer skills.
