The Volunteer’s Role
As the Entrepreneurship Advisor, you will play a key role in enhancing the business management of micro and/or small enterprises owned by women, youth, indigenous and migrant/refugee communities, people with disabilities, and others, with the goal of fostering their market inclusion, sustainability, and profitability.
You will have the chance to collaborate with underserved groups, ensuring they are treated with dignity, empowered to realize their potential, and fully engaged in society, working alongside partners who can help address and overcome their challenges.
Kallpa is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and adolescents in marginalized Peruvian communities by promoting health and social skills. As a volunteer, you will:
- Provide technical guidance to enhance the business plans of entrepreneurs who have completed the business entrepreneurship course.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to analyze various aspects of the operating business, identifying areas that require improvement and strengthening for better business management.
- Facilitate workshops aimed at enhancing business management skills to advance marketing, sales, product or service development, finance, and accounting strategies, thereby increasing profitability and sustainability.
- Organize workshops focused on developing soft skills for entrepreneurship to boost the competitiveness and productivity of incubated entrepreneurs.
- Provide individualized advice, support, and ongoing follow-up to assist entrepreneurs in implementing their business improvement plans based on diagnostic assessments.
- Maintain the project database with records of incubated entrepreneurs, their improvement plans, provided advice, and follow-up activities for micro or small businesses that enhance their management towards profitability and sustainability.
- Participate in management meetings of the Kallpa Association of the Lima Region to contribute to strategy development and improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Essential Background:
- Experience in creating business plans, improvement strategies, and other related marketing skills designed to support the growth of micro or small businesses and their management.
- Knowledge of disability models, social and economic inclusion, gender perspectives, and entrepreneurship methodologies endorsed by EncA.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
