Intern, Facilities Services (8 months)

The Intern reports directly to the Superintendent, Services. The Superintendent, Services may delegate this reporting function as deemed necessary. The role begins with assisting Supervisors in services with daily tasks and gradually progresses to more advanced responsibilities, including preparing reports that summarize confined space attendant utilization, services request application performance, mobile equipment utilization, and procedure development. The intern will also undertake a project aimed at enhancing efficiency within the Services confined space attendant dispatch. This position provides exposure to all aspects of the shipyard facilities services team. The intern will receive guidance on the project’s essentials and access to necessary resources to successfully complete the task.
