BC Systems - Forecaster - Traveler

Duties include the monitoring of assigned fields, accurate record keeping, yield calculation and projection of the optimal harvest timing.  The Forecaster must work closely with the grower watering shedules, spray schedules, and the optimum timing for harvesting of the field. The Forecaster work with the Harvest Scheduler on where the Custom Harvester is to set up the harvest equipment. The Forecaster must also work closely with the Quality Assurance group to communicate known defects in the field.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to navigate uneven surfaces
• Bilingual
• Computer literate
• Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, dusty, and noisy conditions

• Ability to work day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day workweek schedule.
• Full time positions are expected to travel throughout the year with the company's operations in California and Arizona.
• Literacy required, English required
• Posses a valid drivers license

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Experience with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
•  Knowledge of all aspects of harvesting fresh vegtables
