Role Overview
Outsourced Accountant: you will play a key role in Ecolab’s global finance team, responsible for developing financial statements and reports, enabling successful month-end closure and reporting, and supporting compliance with international accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic, purpose-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, tax reports, cost reporting and analysis, accounts payable review, and fixed asset maintenance.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Familiarity with GCC tax reporting and filing requirements.
Experience in treasury and cash management will be preferred.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
Participate in the preparation of external financial audits and provide necessary support and documentation.
Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a multinational environment.
Certified Management Accountant (CMA), ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
Experience with large ERP systems, including iScala, SAP, Oracle, and Hyperion, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage ad hoc projects and reports in addition to routine duties.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver results within time constraints.
