Job Description
The Preventive Maintenance Mechanic (M-F, Saturdays as needed, 3:00pm -2:00am) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the fleet equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, man lifts, and grinders. The Mechanic should have demonstrable work practices with safety as the number one goal. You will perform appropriate preventive maintenance on equipment and necessary repairs to keep machines up and running daily.

Essential Job Duties:
- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy vehicles, equipment, machinery, and facilities
- Perform services, diagnostics, and parts replacement for company fleet
- Aid in the repair and adjustments or replacements on a variety of components and systems such as tires, hoses, and electrical systems
- Service conveyers and various sorting equipment
- Complete and maintain records of servicing operations such as work orders and daily status reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
Scope of Responsibility:
This role is an individual contributor responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on company fleet equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations. The Preventive Maintenance Mechanic works independently and as part of a team to inspect, service, diagnose, and repair equipment, exercising sound judgment in identifying maintenance needs and safety concerns. Decisions and actions directly impact equipment uptime, operational continuity, and workplace safety.
