
Product Owner
Job Description
Job Summary: The Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog to align with strategic goals and customer needs. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact healthcare SaaS solutions that enhance user experience and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Backlog Management
• Define and maintain the product backlog with clear priorities
• Translate business strategy into actionable user stories
• Align backlog with customer value and compliance needs - Agile Execution & Iterative Development
• Drive agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams for delivery
• Ensure continuous improvement through feedback loops - Healthcare Domain Expertise
• Understand healthcare workflows and compliance standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR)
• Design for interoperability and regulatory alignment
• Prioritize features that improve clinical and operational outcomes - Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Communicate product vision and roadmap across teams
• Manage expectations and feedback from internal and external stakeholders
• Facilitate alignment between product, engineering, and clinical teams - Data-Driven Decision Making
• Conduct market and user research to inform product decisions
• Use analytics tools to measure feature impact and guide prioritization
• Apply insights to optimize product performance and user experience
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification
• Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision making
• Experience with user-centered design and design thinking
• Understanding of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in product management or ownership
• Proven experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS environment
• Experience in healthcare SaaS is highly preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification
• Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision making
