Position Summary
The bilingual Creative Content Specialist produces the visual and short‑form video content that brings Mercy Care’s stories to life. This role is a hands‑on creative position focused on designing graphics, editing video, and translating written narratives into compelling visual storytelling across marketing, development, social media, and internal communications.
This role is ideal for a creative professional with strong production skills and an interest in mission‑driven storytelling. The position collaborates closely with the Manager of Communications, the Lead, Editorial & Media Communications, and contracted video producers.
Primary Responsibilities
Graphic Design and Visual Production
Design and produce flyers, brochures, one‑pagers, newsletters, social graphics, and campaign visuals.
Create visual assets that support clinic growth efforts, donor campaigns, events, and internal communications.
Ensure all visual materials meet Mercy Care brand standards and accessibility guidelines.
Video Content Creation
Edit short‑form video for social media, internal use, and events.
Create visual narratives from written stories, interviews, and field footage.
Collaborate with the Director of Communications and contract video producers (including Benny Morgan) on story‑driven video projects.
Creative Storytelling
Translate written narratives and campaign concepts into visual executions.
Contribute creative ideas for how stories and messages can be expressed visually across platforms.
Brand and Asset Management
Use and maintain Adobe Creative Cloud templates.
Support consistent visual identity across materials.
Maintain a searchable digital asset library and story bank, including proper naming and version control.
Promotional Materials and Company Store
Oversee creative components of the Mercy Care company store and promotional materials, including design, proofs, and brand compliance.
Coordinate with vendors and internal staff on visuals and specifications, as needed.
Social Media Visual Support
Create visual assets for social media and format short‑form video content.
Support scheduling and publishing workflows in collaboration with the Communications Assistant.
Review basic analytics to inform future creative improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field
2–5 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, or creative content production.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Strong visual instincts and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively and receive creative direction.
Interest in storytelling and mission‑driven work; not expected to be a strategic communications expert.
